The fifth Ambie Awards, honoring the best podcasts of the year, had a recurring theme throughout Monday’s ceremony: standing up for truth.
“I just want to put in a word for the facts,” This American Life host and producer Ira Glass said during his speech accepting the Governors Award for his and his show’s influence on the medium. “We’re in a war over facts, and we have to stand up for them.
Presenter Ronan Farrow made a similar case in handing out the award for best news podcast, which went to the kid-focused The Ten News. “If we want to live in a reality-based world … and want truth to survive,” Farrow said, support for the kind of journalism the nominees in the news category do, as well as local media, is essential.

Kentaro Miura’s Berserk has featured a vast array of villains who have proved their worth within the narrative, but none of them can reach the level of the God Hand. The God Hand is probably the strongest and most dangerous band of villains in the series, and almost every encounter that Guts had with them has resulted in him getting defeated and brutally injured.
The God Hand | Credit: Dark Horse
Guts has struggled against the God Hand every time, but it is extremely important for him to defeat them, majorly because of Griffith being a part of the group and what he did to enter the God Hand. However, the only problem is that even with his entire strength, it won’t be easy for him to take down the demonically powerful God Hand in Berserk.

Next Wednesday should have really shared some of its issues. That's not this entry, though, as there is only one title here. However, it's no small feat as the comic is wrapping up phase two of the current comic event.

George Lucas was against the idea of Wookie Jedi, and he even set a rule for it. Of course, there are a handful of Wookie Jedi characters, but they existed before the franchise creator prohibited the use of them. Years later, fans are watching The Acolyte, and there’s Kelnacca, a Wookie Jedi.

Why did Lucas change his mind? Why was he against it in the first place? These are some questions fans might have been asking about the strange law against Wookie Jedi.

DC Comics' Vertigo imprint produced some timeless non-superhero classics, like Preacher and V for Vendetta. All-Star Superman captures the essence of the character's undying hope and true strength in the face of adversity. Image Comics is known for its independent comics, and Saga stands out as a universally acclaimed space opera masterpiece.
Naming the best comic books of all time is no easy task, with each new decade delivering an instant-classic from Marvel, DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, and many more. But a handful of famous comic books and graphic novels stand out above all the rest.
The medium has been growing exponentially since its early days in the 20th century. Gradually evolving mainstream culture and artistic approaches changed how comics and their characters are written, with each passing decade seeing more great comic stories published. Players can spend quality time with Arthur before the end of RDR2. Find a scenic spot like Horseshoe Overlook to reflect on Arthur's journey and enjoy the peaceful moments before his last ride. Say hello to everyone in town, spread kindness, and engage in conversations with NPCs to leave a positive impact on the world as Arthur's final act.
The final moments of Red Dead Redemption 2 can be pretty intense, so it's nice to take some time for Arthur before heading into the final mission. Players really get to know everything about RDR2's characters throughout - their secrets, their pasts, their hopes, and eventually, their ends. As a result, it hurts to say goodbye, even if they already know what's going to happen.
[Warning: This article contains spoilers for the ending of RDR2.]

Mark Russell, the political satirist who delivered his wisecracks to the tunes of his piano on PBS specials for nearly 30 years, died today of prostate cancer at his home in Washington, D.C. He was 90.
His death was announced to the Washington Post by his wife Alison Russell.
Russell, sporting a bow tie and standing behind a usually flag-draped piano, was a staple of PBS from 1975 to 2004, where his bipartisan jabs and jaunty playing melded with the gently intellectual tone of the network. With a persona and style closer to Will Rogers than Lenny Bruce, Russell was an affable TV presence whose topical observations offered a family-friendly alternative during an era when George Carlin was saying seven dirty words and Saturday Night Live was making pot jokes.
Still, his amenable demeanor could serve as Trojan Horse for his most pointed and ego-deflating quips. After the exposure of President Bill Clinton’s sexual peccadillos,...

Anderson East reckons with a collective need for clarity in “Drugs,” the funky new release from his upcoming album Maybe We Never Die. The follow-up to 2018’s Encore, Maybe We Never Die will come out August 20th.
Veering away from the retro R&b sounds that have been a mainstay of his albums, East cooks up a bass-driven disco groove for “Drugs” that’s accented by theremin and perky flute runs. The Alabama native adopts a silky falsetto for most of the tune, pondering the eternal difficulty of facing reality.

Exclusive: Netflix has set Blake Lively to star in and produce, and Oscar-winning scribe Diablo Cody to adapt Lady Killer, based on the Dark Horse Comic series.
The plan is for Lively to play Josie Schuller. By all appearances, she is the perfect 1950’s housewife. But when she’s not catering to the needs of her family, she leads a secret life as a highly-trained killer for hire. She really likes the second job, and her husband has no idea.
Pic will be produced by Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment along with Lively and Kate Vorhoff for B for Effort.
Lively is coming off an action turn in The Rhythm Section and before that, The Shallows. She is repped by WME, Management 360 and Sloane Offer.
Cody most recently scripted the upcoming Madonna biopic at Universal, which Madonna will direct. Cody is repped by WME, Mxn Entertainment and McKuin Frankel.
