Made in 1970 and aired in 1973, by the time audiences saw the TV-movie DRIVE HARD, DRIVE FAST, lead actor Brian Kelly was permanently handicapped from driving too fast and hard on his motorcycle, ending a career that might have had potential since the FLIPPER star was a surprisingly good actor...
Sadly, the vehicle featuring Kelly's race-car driver traveling through mountainous landscapes with married Joan Collins while being bugged/eavesdropped by her crazy husband Henry Silva, is too loud and confusing, littered with bad folk music and benign second-hand conversations without enough of the otherwise creatively-edited races or chases (more documentary-style LE MANS than mainstream GRAND PRIX) built into the title.
