A classic police drama set in Yarra Central Police Station, Melbourne

I am so disappointed that I have to wait till 3 am (to 4am) to watch repeats of this old Australian police drama series. It is just as entertaining now as it was back then. We return back to black & white colour and the slower pace of Australian life in Melbourne. It is so cool to see the cars and fashion of the late 60's and early to mid 70's and the genuine Aussie characters, many of whom having appeared in other Aussie shows. It is also fun to note and compare the changes in law today. The cops really make this show. I enjoy watching these repeats so much, and as I said earlier, disappointed at the late 3 am start. It would be a lot better deal if the money-hungry "Quizmania" was scrapped and Division 4 brought forward to the 12 to 12.30 am time slot. With 300 by 50 minute episodes this series would be very welcome on DVD. I hope other viewers feel the same. Perhaps we might see a DVD release in the future.

    Growing Up in Australia

Crawford Productions produced some very entertaining television in Australia and this is one of them. I agree with the other comments about the time slot. 3am should be reserved for these money hungry 'Quizmania' and 'The Mint' type shows. It is about time that Australia started taking a little more pride in our heritage because it is a part of our growing up. Come on Channel 9, you have taken the first step by replaying these classics, now it is time to move it so people can actually watch them. When are they going to be released on DVD? Another outstanding question. Division 4 is part of a group of television shows. The others being Matlock Police, Homicide, Solo One, Hunter, Cop Shop and a few others that escape my memory at this point. In my opinion, we would be a lot better off if we were to bring back some of these shows from the 50s, 60s and 70s

    Division Four

We are lucky to live in rural Australia where we can get the show. I am loving Division Four as well as Matlock Police and I don't mind what time it is shown as I always tape it. None of my friends in the city can get WIN. These 2 cops shows are the best no swearing, and I also love checking out all the fantastic old Holdens and also the fashions worn back then. These have to be 2 of the best shows ever made, and the music at the beginning of the show is also fantastic! I grew up watching this show and what a wonderful walk down memory lane! I have written to WIN to thank them for showing it.I feel sorry for people who have never seen this show. Modern day cops shows are pathetic, too much violence and swearing, and the characters in Division 4 you can relate to, plus Kevin is really spunky!! My husband reckons Margaret is alright too!!

    Please have a DVD release

I love Division 4. I used to watch it as a child / teenager. It is a classic Australian television show that was packed with adventure and a very good story line. It preceded shows like Cop Shop and Prisoner. These shows well prisoner is available on DVD in full. I would buy every program if it was available on DVD. Someone should encourage Crawfords or whoever has the rights to sell it on DVD. I think there are a lot of people out there who would gladly pay to own their copy. I tried sending an email once but I got no response. Its a shame not being able to see it any more. We don't get it at all in Sydney late night or otherwise.
