It is the only film in which the three Anand brothers - Dev, Chetan, and Vijay - acted together.
Nanda played sister of Dev Anand later they were paired opposite each other in Hum Dono 1961 and Teen Deviyan 1965.
Mother India 1957 had a star studded premiere at Metro cinema and Mehboob Khan gave permission to Dev Anand to shoot the premiere sequence to add in the film.
The film has a scene in which several stars make guest appearances while appearing for the premiere of the movie Mother India. They include Dilip Kumar, Geeta Dutt, Guru Dutt, Kishore Kumar, Raaj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Sohrab Modi, Mohammed Rafi, Nargis, Nadira and Nimmi. Others seen include Kishore Kumar, Kumkum, Lata Mangeshkar, Mukri, Mohammad Rafi, Yakub, Naseem Banu & Kumari Naaz.
The song Khoya Khoya Chaand had a remix version in the movie Shaitan.
