The third of ten feature films co-starring Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. They also teamed for three TV movies and mini-series.
Joanne Woodward and Patrick O'Neal would later co-star once again in L'homme à la tête fêlée (1966). O'Neal played a psychiatrist in both films.
This is one of a very few movies that stars two actors who were married to each other, each of whom won an Academy Award for acting during their careers-Paul Newman for La Couleur de l'argent (1986), and Joanne Woodward for Les trois visages d'Eve (1957).
