    'Happy' thoughts

I, too, remember 'Happy'--although I only saw it once or twice. I seem to recall that it was set in a resort hotel somewhere, and I don't think at age ten it registered to me whose son Ronnie Burns might be. For that matter, the 'actor' who played Happy would now be close to 50 years old; I wonder if he continued in show biz or is now in real estate in Southern California? Anyway, I would argue that its premise was no more surreal (or original, for that matter) than a popular network predecessor called 'The People's Choice'--starring Jackie Cooper of 'Our Gang' fame--which featured the audible thoughts of the family basset hound, Cleo. The path from there to 'Misted Ed' and 'My Mother the Car' was clear and unimpeded.

The Show about the Talking Baby...

I thought I had dreamed this series up as a child until I saw that it existed on the IMDB. It was only on one season and featured the thoughts of a talking baby. Only the audience was in on the joke, the baby's parents had no idea he was aware of everything going on.

Have never seen this one in re-runs.

weird for it's time, long before "Look who's talking."

I remember this show! it was a summer replacement, back when TV shows ran for 39 episodes and HAD summer replacements for the other 13 weeks...anyway, it wasn't as weird as another show that ran the same summer called "Kane" about a one-armed gunfighter, just to give you an idea what attempts were being made at the time to experiment with new ideas...but this one starred Ronnie Burns, son of comedian George Burns, who's only other acting credit was occasional appearances on his dad's show....way ahead of it's time, a forerunner of the "Look who's talking" movies, it was silly, bland, with very rare flashes of wit, pretty much like the "look who's talking" movies

    What were WE thinking about?

I loved this show when I was seven years old. I remember it clearly. The novelty of a baby whose thoughts are vocalized was novel at that time. It came on before or after another show called Chatter, which was about a chimpanzee whose thoughts you could hear. The things we watched back in the day!
