The Bugs Bunny Show (1960)

Trivia

The Bugs Bunny Show

Edit
This animated show marks Billy Bletcher's final animation role.
Several episodes' bridging sequences (the original animation between cartoon shorts) would be shown as bonuses on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection line of DVDs.
The announcer's introduction of "that Oscar-winning rabbit, Bugs Bunny!" refers to the Academy Award given for the Best Animated Short Film of 1958, "Knighty Knight Bugs", starring Bugs Bunny.
During the opening credits the character parade is as follows: Tweety Pie, Speedy Gonzales, Hippity Hop, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester the Cat, Elmer Fudd, Pepe Le Pew, Wile E. Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, followed by the reentry of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The Road Runner is conspicuously missing, but he was given his own separate introduction when the show was renamed The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour.
The name 'Bugs' used to be a common nickname for someone bug-eyed and shifty.
