This film was nominated to Samuel Goldwyn International Award in the 18th Annual Golden Globe Awards, 1961.
The film was shot at the Delcasse family mansion, located at 1919 Cuba Street, Buenos Aires, known as "The House of the Angel" because it featured a winged figure in its belvedere. It was a place of mourning and was therefore also called "The House of Mourning." It was demolished in the late 1970s to build apartments and a shopping center, which still stands nowadays, also known as "The House of the Angel."
