In the final minute the name of the Tasmanian Devil, 'Claude', is revealed by the female Tasmanian Devil, 'Rosebud'. The Devils were married by Bugs in Devil May Hare (1954).
Tasmanian Devils are carnivorous marsupials that once were found all over Australia but now live on the island of Tasmania. They have a strong bite and a fierce sounding howl and, like Taz, often sport a white underbelly. But unlike Taz, they are largely nocturnal creatures.
Taz and Bugs nod to the famous Stan Freberg comedy sketch "John and Marsha", first released in 1951.
The Rhedosaurus roar (from Le Monstre des temps perdus (1953)) can be heard from the animals running away from the Tasmanian Devil.
