Edit
Children were playing outside C Ramachnadra's music room and chanting Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe.Which inspired his assistant John Gomes to create the first line as Eena Meena Deekha.John Gomes was Catholic and added the Konkani lyrics Maka Naka Naka ( I don't Want).
One of the first Rock N Roll songs of Hindi cinema.
"Eena Meena Dika" was first remixed in the album Bom Bass. The remix was titled "Eena Meena Dika (Kaafi Badd Mixx)". Remixed by Amit and San J of The X Zecutive. This was in 1995.
A then-unknown Asha Parekh was thrilled to share a dance number and a comedy scene with the heroine Vyjayanthimala. Two years later, Asha became a heroine with the hit film Dil Deke Dekho (1959), but still she continued to be in awe of Vyjayantimala, even sneaking on to the Amrapali (1966) set to watch her. She played a Vyjayantimala fan in the film Jawan Muhabat (1971). In real life, the two stars would occasionally have lunch together. In 2016, almost 60 years since they first worked together, Vyjayantimala remembered Asha as "a very nice girl".
The song "Eena Meena Deeka" had a cover version in the film Bluffmaster. "Indi Yarn" by Trickbaby.
