Trivia

Sangam

Edit
After the premiere of the film a major fight broke out between Raj Kapoor and writer Inder Raj Anand. Inder slapped Raj Kapoor. After that Raj Kapoor and the entire team of Sangam boycotted any film that Inder Raj Anand wrote. He lost 18 films. This caused him to have a heart attack. Sensing that the fight had taken a ugly turn, Raj Kapoor went back to Inder and apologized.
Raj Kapoor had narated the story of Sangam to Vyjantimala and told her that, she will be Radha in the film. Then after some time Raj Kapoor was waiting for her reply. One day Raj Kapoor send a telegram to Vyjantimala and in the telegram Raj Kapoor asked her, 'Bol Radha Bol Yeh Sangam Hoga Ya Nahin?' Vyjayntimala also replied with a telegram, she wrote, 'Hoga....Hoga.....Hoga..! So here then Raj Kapoor got the idea of the song, Bol Radha Rol.....Sangam was the First Hindi Film to be shot in Europe.
R.K.Film"s and Navketan"s nearly at the same time they were making first time their films in colour Sangam & Guide and both films became important films in Indian Cinema History.
For the shooting of the song Yeh Mehra Prem Pathar......Raj Kapoor had in his mind that the place where he wants to shoot the song is in New Dehli, so he and his unit went to New Dehli to find the location. So about one week Raj Kapoor went around the city but he didn't get the location which he had in mind. So the last of their stay suddenly the showman saw his location and said that was the place which he was looking for. It was an government restricted area. Raj Kapoor had to take permission from the government authorities and he got and he happily picturised the song there with satisfaction.
Raj Kapoor had told Feroz Khan that if Rajendra Kunar declines his role, he will sign him. Feroz was hopeful that Sangam would be his ticket to stardom in an A grade film. Rajendra accepted Sangam leading to Feroz's hopes being crashed. Feroz later around the same time landed a supporting role in Aarzoo. Also , arzoo had Rajendra Kumar as leading hero and was also a love triangle like Sangam. In that feroze loses the heroine same as rajendra in Sangam !!!!
