A German-Brazilian co-production shot on location at Rio de Janeiro's Atlantic rain forest, apart the waterfall's scenes shot at Iguazu's falls, the plot is about a German Professor Van Vries who seeks a legendary Amazons's tribe on Brazil, played by the veteran nazi-actor Anton Diffring, he and his young nephew Peter (Wolff) gathered several guides to an incursion thru the river to find out Amazons territory, in the middle they meeting another group who seeking for gold, attached by Xavantes's natives they were arrest and later introduces to the Amazons, Lana actually is a German blonde girl who had survives of a airplane's crash, his parents died, she becomes a Goddess coming from the sky and she just appears around 30 minutes on movie, cheap and careless, this odd production is really interesting, the produces provide a nude exploitation on Amazons, all Brazilian actors were poorly dubbed, was so great see Dedé Santana in early steps of his career, also the bad hunter Átila Iório!!

PS: Filming location wasn't at Amazon river as states on front page, it was shot at Rio de Janeiro at Atlantic rain forest, it must be clear!!!

It starts promising but immediately becomes a little boring movie. Anton Diffring, who usually plays villains, here is a good professor. I think they were inspired by Tarzan. We see some snakes and some crocodiles and another hour and 19 minutes wasted. I think one of the snakes or one of the crocodiles wrote also the script. Not even the music doesn't match.
