Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jean Gabin in Un singe en hiver (1962)

Trivia

Un singe en hiver

Edit
While Jean-Paul Belmondo has a dance double for the flamenco scene, it is actually him doing the "car corrida" stunt.
According the DVD special features, Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondo drank tea during the bar sequence when they are both drunk.
Producer Jacques Bar initially intended to adapt Roger Vercel's novel "Au Large de l'Eden" ("In Sight of Eden"), a story set on a ship. Star Jean Gabin however hated the smell of the ship rented for the production and refused to work on the film. Bar and screenwriter Michel Audiard thus scrambled to find another project they could launch while Gabin was still under contract, with Audiard eventually submitting this project.
15th grossing movie of the year in France.
Released in Britain under the bizarre title, "It's Hot In Hell".

Director Cameo

Henri Verneuil: the German officer climbing up the stairs at the beginning of the film, 52 seconds in, as his directing credit appears on screen.
