Killing dialogue

This is definitely a classic movie with exceptional dialogue (and acting is also on the old-croatian-school level). One can never forget 3 scenes: 1) Man1:Are we smoking? Man2: American? Man1: Box. , 2) Man1: Club soda for me. Man2: Club soda for me, also. , 3) Dancing and hugging in an empty building.

Great movie with a well-crafted plot and funny dialogue

The story that revolves around a couple in love(often quarreling) gives this movie a screwball comedy quality. Yet, this movie isn't only about troubles of being in love, but about troubles that those in love have with the world around them. Martin and Zorica have one main preoccupation, and that is finding a place to live. This leads them into innumerable troubles, that eventually makes the ties between them stronger. "Martin u oblacima" reminded me of the third short movie from "Subotom uvece", both movies show tendencies that were later lost in Yugoslavian cinema, during "Crni talas"(black wave) and afterward. A simple love story like this is sure refreshing in a cinematography that was always overshadowed by it's country's issues.
