Dated and old film dealing with myths and legends about the Holy Grail and Longinus Spear

A film very freely inspired on old poems about the Holy Grail and the lance of the fate . The Story of the Ancient Legend of Parsifal , his adventures and misfortunes in past times .The Power of Faith vs the Temptations of the Seven Deadly Sins . It concerns Roderico : Angel Jordan who battles the nasty Klingsor: Felix De Pomes . Later on , Roderico's wife : Ludmilla Techerina escapes to seek the Mountain where the Holy Grail and Sacred Spear are hidden . Long time after , she gives birth a son , Parsifal : Gustavo Rojo who goes on searching the divine lance and the Holy Grail.

Mythological film based on the Wagner's famous Opera , Parsifal, and ancient legends . As the Holy Grail wished by the brave Christian knights , while the lance of Lucio Longinus is another relic deeply wanted , Longinus was the Roman soldier who pierced the side of Jesus Christ when he was on the Cross and met his end atop of the hill of Calvary . Main and support cast give mediocre interpretations with excessive gesticulation . Brilliant cinematography in black and white by Cecilio Paniagua , shot in stage as well as outdoors from Mountains of Monserrat , Barcelona . While the musical score mostly of the Wagner Opera was performed by Liceo Theatre Great Symphonic Orchestra and by Camera Music Professional Orchestra and Barcelona Camera Agrupation with the Classic Hood Polyphonics Chorus . The motion picture was professionaly directed by Daniel Mangrane and assisted by Carlos Serrano de Osma who were nominees Grand Prize of the Cannes Film Festival 1952 , furthermore Daniel Mangrane was winner Special Award in Cinema Writers Circle .
