In the original script, Peanuts is a schoolteacher who is caught impersonating a deceased gangster and is sent on a mission to Cairo.
Hedy Lamarr was reportedly disappointed that her role was not more comic. She had been looking forward to doing a Bob Hope comedy, only to find she was playing her typical "femme fatale" role.
The only one of Hope's three "My Favorite" movies not to feature a cameo from Bing Crosby. Though Hope does make reference to Crosby when he holds up a skull and says "you remind me of someone I know who used to sing."
Angela Clarke and Bob Hope both died as centenarians.
