In April 2014, Dailymotion announced Jump Outs, an unscripted series that pits an elite team of policemen against three groups attempting to evade them. A year later, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Jump Outs has arrived as the latest piece of Dailymotion's original video plans.
The "Jump Out Boys" are elite officers known for their aggressive policing. In the web series, an amulet has been placed in a Long Beach neighborhood, and three teams must retrieve it and bring it home without getting caught. Each team has its own defining characteristic: One is made up of skateboarders, another of parkour athletes, and a third of soccer players. It's The Amazing Race meets Cops and Robbers.
"We wanted realism to be part of the show," said Tom Bannister of Sxm, which produced the show. "There are a lot of great reality TV shows, but they often feel like people are playing a role.

From Super Mario Bros to Devil May Cry, we delve into the past to pick out 7 games that changed considerably as they were developed...
Odd List
The complex process of making a game requires the coordination of programmers, artists, designers, musicians and accountants. It's little surprise, then, that things can change drastically over the course of the months or even years it takes to make a game, and history is littered with examples of this.
Take, for example, Team Fortress 2, a shooter that went through multiple iterations and even changes in art style before the final version became a popular success. There are far, far too many other examples to list here, so what we've done is whittle our selection down to the ones we either found the most interesting or the most significant from a historical point of view.
It's fair to say that, without most of the...

I wanted to love Need for Speed: Rivals. Granted, I’m not a massive racing fan, but everything here seemed perfect to me. Having a massive map filled with what’s essentially just an extended game of Cops and Robbers at break neck speeds with some ludicrous jumps thrown in told me everything I needed to know to be excited to play the game. That was before I opened it though. Now that I’m looking back, I didn’t have those moments of pure exhilaration that I expected to. What I had was a few moments of fantastic gameplay wrapped up in a game that was often frustrating, if not outright boring.
One of Rivals‘ biggest selling points is that you’re instantly thrown into a living world with up to five other players who can be driving around completing missions on their own. You can help each other complete missions,...

A once loved band but unfortunately forgotten about, The Hoosiers are back to show the world that they mean business.
It’s been a rough but prosperous few years for The Hoosiers. Concerning their departure from Sony Records in 2011 due to a dispute over the release of their second album ‘The Illusion of Safety’ in 2010 (re-released as ‘Bumpy Ride’ in 2011), caused the album to have a hit and miss reaction. Although the single ‘Choices’ reached #11 in the UK Singles chart in 2010, the rest of the album struggled to make sales. I’d personally like to think their albums success reflects on the answer to the question, ‘name a Hoosier song’, where still most responses would still be ‘Goodbye Mr A’ or ‘Cops and Robbers’, ultimately due to those songs being from their #1 album. From seeing them perform first hand earlier this week at Oxford Street’s The 100 Club,...

Max Payne is not a good guy and he’s a pretty rotten cop. He’s a pretty miserable excuse for a person, too. But if there’s one thing Max does well is kill. Well, kill and drink. And swear. We find him several years older, and looking worse for it. Max Payne is an old killer drinking away the demons of the past hoping for a quick end. Funny, that a man without a want or need to live, is often the best person for the kind of work Max gets hired to do.
It’s been over 8 years since hard boiled cop, Max Payne, has been dragged out of the bar and back into the harsh light for one more job. After such a long hiatus, is it worth another round of shots or does Max need to pay his tab before closing time at the bar?...

Over the weekend I started to read Stephen King’s new book, 11/22/63: A Novel. I’m not very far into it, as King writes long and I like to luxuriate in his enjoyment at having a story to tell and his great affection for his characters. And also, I have things to do.
It’s a time-travel story, and so far it’s set in 1958. I was five years old then (King was 11), and some of my memories of that time are clear. As he describes children playing in Maine, I remember what it was like for me in Ohio.
We played Cowboys and Indians, Cops and Robbers. We played House, and School. None of us had Barbies yet, but we had stuffed animals so we could play Zoo. We made mud pies. We played Kick the Can and had squirt gun fights (see above re: Cowboys and Indians,...

Hostage in Castle with Nathan Fillion
If you’re old enough you should be able to recall whom the youngest of Fred MacMurray’s kids was on My Three Sons. If you said it was Ernie you would be correct. But the actor playing Ernie is all grown up now. Barry Livingston is 52 and going to be guest starring in the October 31 episode of Castle. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like much of a Halloween episode, which is just a tragedy.
TV Guide brought the word that Livingston will be playing a man named Abe in the episode, titled “Cops and Robbers”. Abe is a bank customer whose day turns to crap when he becomes a hostage in a botched robbery of the bank. He gets taken in to the vault along with Castle (Nathan Fillion) and his dear mother, Martha (Susan Sullivan). “Castle’s trying to help Martha get...

Tactical Force is a movie that only exists because Steve Austin and Michael Jai White wanted to blow their money on a high-tech game of Cops and Robbers. They wanted to run around with big guns, blow stuff up, and kick the crap out of bad guys. I want to believe that they were planning this big elaborate Cops and Robbers game, and one of their friends, who happens to be an aspiring action director, asked if he could show up and film it. Austin and White looked at each other and asked, “What about the plot? I mean, we're just chasing bad guys around a warehouse in the middle of nowhere.” The director told them not to worry about it, that he would work something out. The director then went home, watched a bunch of The A-Team, and wrote the screenplay in one night. This would explain the abundance of goofy action film tropes,...

Italian film director and screenwriter who established a new school of social-realist comedy
The Italian film director Mario Monicelli has died aged 95, after jumping out of a hospital window in Rome. Monicelli directed more than 60 films, most of which he co-wrote. He was best known for I Soliti Ignoti (Big Deal On Madonna Street, 1958), which was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign-language film. It was remade by Louis Malle as Crackers (1984) and turned into a Broadway musical, Big Deal, by Bob Fosse in 1986. Monicelli's original is one of the most internationally admired Italian comedies of the past 60 years.
Born in Viareggio, Tuscany, Monicelli was the son of a journalist, Tomaso Monicelli, who founded one of the earliest Italian film magazines. Tomaso killed himself in 1946. Mario studied at the universities of Milan and Pisa and took an early interest in films. With the future publisher Alberto Mondadori, he collaborated...

The Premise: Cal is running around robbing banks all wacked off of Scooby snacks.
The Personal: Cal and Detective Wallowski play “Cops and Robbers: The Manwhore Edition,” Gillian finds their relationship laughable, and our little Loker becomes a man.
The Resolution: Through a neat bit of Reservoir Dogs-style reverse storytelling, it’s revealed that Cal gets involved with the robbery when he stumbles onto an ex-con, Mike Salinger, casing the bank during a routine visit. Meanwhile, Foster has frozen their accounts after finding out Cal’s publisher threatened to place a lien against his assets—i.e., The Lightman Group—due to an unfulfilled book contract. Though she later agrees to unfreeze the accounts and assist in the investigation of the impending bank heist, his partner also insists on hiring a grad student to help write his book.

Chicago – The ultra-violent third-person shooter “Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days” wins points merely by the developer’s refusal to pull any punches when it comes to visceral, pitch-black action, but a few frustrating elements continue to hold the franchise back from what it could have been. Like a lot of recent shooters, everything that works about “Dog Days” is off-set by something that feels underdeveloped. It’s an entertaining shooter for hardcore fans of hardcore action but it won’t breakthrough beyond its target demographic.
Video Game Rating: 3.5/5.0
Very rarely have you played a shooter level like the one in which a near-death, butt-naked Lynch is limping through a Shanghai mall and picking off oncoming enemies with his trusty firearm. “Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days” definitely wins points for brutality, if you’re into that kind of thing. In fact, the Chinese Board of Tourism may want to file a...

For six seasons, you saw Daniel Dae Kim as Jin in Lost. Now, get ready for a totally different character in his new show, Hawaii Five-o.
In this re-boot, he stars as Detective Chin Ho Kelly alongside Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan and Grace Park. When he took the role, he said was looking to play someone different then Jin… and I’m betting he wanted to stay in Hawaii.
I got a chance to talk to Daniel at this years Comic-Con (in a round-table format so most of the questions weren’t mine) about the new version of Hawaii Five-o, Lost and a whole lot more.
Once again you’re filming and you’re shooting in Hawaii. What’s going to be different or what has been different about this experience versus Lost.

Here's the trailer to Ben Affleck's The Town, which opens exactly two months from tomorrow.
Gone Baby Gone devotees, we understand there are a small but very serious group of them, should be pleased to note that Ben has already completed his second feature.
Do we want to see it?
Yes. When famous actors direct they can often call in favors and rope in impressive casts. This time we get Jeremy Renner, fresh off The Hurt Locker, Jon Hamm (Mad Men) in what could be an important transitional screen role, the oft acclaimed Chris Cooper. Best of all it looks like Rebecca Hall, who we consider practically the young actress to watch, is front and center in what looks like a possibly rangey role: crime victim? secret-hoarder? romantic object? inner strength finding heroine and/or downward spiraling conflicted bystander?
No. Cops and robbers, shoot outs, bank heists, blue collar criminals,...

The Bb Housemates were set an endurance task yesterday, and told that the winner would receive a “special prize.”
The task involved “the three most competitive Housemates” sitting on children’s fairground rides for a maximum of four hours, however, Big Brother told them that as the rides were children themed, they must not swear. Anyone who did would be disqualified.
John James, Corin and Dave were chosen to do the task, but John was the first to fall foul of the swearing rule as he swore while trying to start up his ride with a pound coin…
However, he didn’t believe he had said the ‘F’ word, and protested to Big Brother, “I don’t even remember saying it!”
So that left Dave and Corin to continue the task, but when Dave fell off his ride, Corin happily assumed she’d won, but Dave protested, “I didn’t let go,...
