Meet Corliss Archer

Edit
A CBS radio staple since 1943, the TV version was unique in that the show was broadcast live to separate parts of the country on consecutive nights, requiring the actors to perform the same script twice. This situation lasted from the series' debut on 12 July 1951 through September 1951. CBS managed to consolidate its nationwide telecasts the following season. The series ended its network TV run on 29 March 1952 but would extend its life by going into syndication during the 1954-55 season with a new cast (with the exception of Robert Ellis.
The first television version of the CBS radio series ''Meet Corliss Archer" debuted July 3, 1950 in the 9:30-10:00 p.m. slot starring Sally Hester in the title role. The radios version of the show left the air June 25 and returned August 27.
Add to item about the 1950 cast continuing in the 1954 syndication series: ...Bobby Ellis as Dexter Franklin and Ken Christy as Bill Franklin.
