Gert Fröbe's clownesk acting in this early film performance of his career seems inspired by the legendary Bavarian comedian Karl Valentin. Valentin had worked with Liesl Karlstadt (who also appears in this film) as a comic duo for many years and he had died the year before 'Nach Regen scheint Sonne' was released.
