Glenn Ford and Evelyn Keyes in Cinq millions dans une poubelle (1949)

Trivia

Cinq millions dans une poubelle

Edit
Actor Roman Bohnen passed away from a heart attack shortly after filming on February 24th, 1949 a little more than 5 months before the movie's release.
The $100,000 Joe steals from his own club (now run by the mob) would be worth about $1.3M in 2023.
Opens with Joe Miracle (Glenn Ford) smashing his sedan through a barricade and reaching the far end of the drawbridge just before it begins to rise. A squadron of police cars and motorcycle cops then chases him through the streets of San Francisco, all shot on location, predating the San Francisco car chases in La ronde du crime (1958) by nine years and Bullitt (1968) by 19 years.
Sixth and final film to feature Glenn Ford and Evelyn Keyes after The Lady in Question (1940), Les aventures de Martin Eden (1942), Flight Lieutenant (1942), Les desperados (1943), and Une femme sans amour (1948).
When the couple visits the tenement apartment to check on the baby, the language being spoken by the old man and Joe is the latter's native Polish. The Polish word for diaper is pielucha.
