UK distributor Archway submitted both sub-titled and dubbed prints to the British Board of Film Censors who passed the Italian version on 4 August 1950 and the English-dubbed on 19 December 1951, each with an "A" certificate. The original Italian version was previewed in London at the Rialto on 23 October 1950 (one showing at 10am for press and trade only), before opening to the public at the New Gallery on 26 October 1950 for a two week run. The London preview of the dubbed version was at the Celluloid Theatre on 31 December 1951 (10:30 am). This one opened to the public at the Marble Arch Pavilion (owned by Archway) on 3 April 1952 and ran for three weeks.
