An iconic scene from this movie involving Raj Kapoor and Nargis became the inspiration for the Raj Kapoor's production company (RK Studios) logo.
Raj Kapoor was in twenties when he made Barsaat and after this film he became one of the top filmaker. Ramamand Sagar who wrote this film later became major filmaker.
Actress Nimmi started her career with this movie.
Due to the success of this movie, Raj Kapoor was able to buy RK studios.
Shanker-Jaikishan were assistants of music composer Ram Ganguly who had composed music for R.K.'s first film Aag. In Barsaat Shanker-Jaikishan were introduced as music composers and Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra were indroduced as lyricsts and later all of then became very successful in their fields.
