What Makes Daffy Duck (1948)

Trivia

What Makes Daffy Duck

Edit
Daffy calls Elmer Fudd by his first name several times in this short. He also breaks the fourth wall briefly at the very end of the cartoon and addresses the audience. And the fox sounds like an early incarnation of the dog character, Foghorn Leghorn's nemesis.
Daffy entertains the audience by breaking the fourth wall several times. This would become one of his signature moves, just like fellow WB castmates and nemesis, Bugs Bunny. Elmer briefly breaks the fourth wall, too.
The little black duck Daffy refers to (himself) is the American Black Duck, which is similar to the Mallard.
Daffy mentions his employer, Warner Brothers, when he first romances the pseudo female duck.
Daddy used a classic pick up line of the era, inviting the (pseudo) lady duck to his abode so she can view his collection of, er, etchings. Etchings are actually a form of printmaking and were popularly available as wall art at the time.
