The final short to feature supporting actor Cy Schindell, who died from cancer shortly after. However, old footage featuring him would turn up in later shorts. Cy was terminal at the time of filming, but took the role to earn money for his family.
Although he receives no billing, character comedian Jimmy Aubrey plays the role of Hawkens, the gorilla's keeper.
This short and another, "Hot Ice", share much of the same footage and storyline.
