A Star Is Bored (1956)

Trivia

A Star Is Bored

Edit
This is one of only four Warner Bros. cartoons in which Bugs Bunny is pitted against all three of his main antagonists, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck. The other three are This Is a Life? (1955), Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers (1992) and (Blooper) Bunny! (1991).
Included as a bonus on the Warner DVD of Une étoile est née (1954).
The director in this cartoon is a caricature of Michael Curtiz, one of Warners star directors.
The comedic send up of stand ins was a common theme in film productions of all kinds. Everyone from cartoon duo Roland and Ratfink, to Bob Hope, and countless others, would use the gag.
Bugs' appearance had evolved into his more familiar look by this time. His inner ear was a smaller area and more pink in color (previously, it was a salmon hue), and his body was more elongated and less caricatured.
