    Yes - it really is! The infamous von Bulows eventually bought one of the mansions featured in this film. The death (and possibly murder) of Sunny von Bulow is detailed in the film, "Reversal of Fortune" starring Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons (for which he won a Best Actor Oscar).

    Years ago Mervyn Leroy turned down Clark Gable because of his ears. Mitch Leisen goofed, too, when Paramount considered buying "Philadelphia Story." "I dont't think a snob picture like that would sell, " he said. So Metro got the story and made a fortune with Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Jimmy Stewart. Now they've remade it as "High Society," with Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra. Frank doesn't get the girl, but he steals the picture. . . .
