9.4 Before The Flood

The pressure's on once there's been a terrific opening episode of a Doctor Who two-parter. I enjoyed last week's base under siege first part, Under The Lake, enormously, and some - but not all - of the spooky tone of that comes across to parts of Before The Flood.

But also, writer Toby Whithouse isn't content to just do more of the same. He's got the space afforded to him to explore a Doctor Who story over the course of an hour and twenty minutes, and for this concluding part, that means he has time to split the Doctor and Clara up.

Line-up includes Memories Of The Sword, set to star Lee Byung-hun.

South Korea’s Lotte Entertainment is launching sales on three new additions to its line-up at Busan’s Asian Film Market. The slate is led by Park Heung-shik’s highly anticipated Memories Of The Sword, starring Lee Byung-hun [pictured] from Red 2 and Masqeurade and Jeon Do-youn from The Housemaid and Secret Sunshine.

Set at the turbulent end of the Goryeo dynasty, the martial arts piece also stars Kim Go-eun, the ingenue from Eungyo, and Lee Joon-ho – also known as Junho from the K-pop group 2Pm - who recently featured in surveillance thriller Cold Eyes. The film is set for release in the second half of 2014.

Lotte’s second new addition is The King’s Wrath (working title), a historical action piece about palace intrigues during King Jeong-jo’s reign in the Joseon dynasty. The film is directed by Lee Jae-gyu, well-known for hit...

Tony Winning Actor Sydney Earle Chaplin Dies At Age 82
Tony Award winner (and son of Charlie Chaplin) Sydney Earle Chaplin has died at age 82. Chaplin won the Tony for his performance opposite Judy Holiday in the musical Bells Are Ringing. He was nominated for his role of Nicky Arnstein in Funny Girl opposite Barbara Streisand. Chaplin also appeared in the films Limelight, Land of the Pharaohs, Confession as well as several others.
