Ingrid Bergman in La peur (1954)

Trivia

La peur

Edit
The last film Roberto Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman made together before their divorce in 1957.
Roberto Rossellini shot two versions of "La Paura", one in German (Angst) and an international version (Fear). The Italian version was released as the international one. Another shorter version was released later, under the title "Non credo piu all'amore". The movie was restored by Cineteca di Bologna and CSC in 2014, using a number of vintage prints, starting with the shorter print, to reconstruct the longer international version.
The movie takes place in Germany. The car license plates are German ones. That of the Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A driven by Ingrid Bergman as Irene Wagner begins with AW59. AW stands for Amerikanisch Würtemberg, 59 for Stuttgart. The Volkswagen Limousine Export (a.k.a. Beetle) parked in front of 'Hotel Leinfelder' has a Bavarian license plate. The Volkswagen Sonnendach-Limousine (another Beetle, this one with a sunroof) driven by Mathias Wieman as Prof. Albert Wagner has a plate beginning with BH, which stands for 'Britisch Hamburg'.
The car Irene drives is a 1952 Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A. As of 2017, in excellent condition, these cars can sell for well over $200,000. Less than 1,300 Cabriolet A's were built from 1951 to 1955.
Shot simultaneously in German and English.
