The Black Rider (1954)

Trivia

The Black Rider

Edit
Jerry writes for the "Swanhaven News and Mail", run by Robert Plack.
Much is made of Marsh being, as the 'Daily Mail' puts it, a "young reporter" full of youthful escapades. In fact Jimmy Hanley was 36 at the time of filming, only 12 years junior to the 48-year-old Leslie Dwyer who plays his boss.
Lionel Jeffries was only 27/28 years old when this film was made. He was about 8 years younger than Jimmy Hanley, playing the 'young' reporter. Lionel almost always played characters much older than his real age..until his real age caught up with the parts he played.
Vincent Ball, the handsome Australian actor, is due to reach his century this year. When the film was made he was actually 3 years older than Lionel Jefferies playing the character of the middle aged 'baddie'.
Kenneth Connor played Sammy Morris the children's' entertainer in the British sitcom Hi De Hi. He replaced Leslie Dwyer who played the part of the curmudgeonly Mr Partridge.
