If you’re in need of certain aid in a Disney park, the Das pass isn’t just a perk; it’s a necessity!
When it comes to guests with disabilities in Disney parks, most will think of physical disabilities first. Guests who need wheelchairs are obvious, with ride attendants always there to help when someone needs aid getting on or off a ride. It may be troublesome but Disney is ready to help with anyone needing to enjoy the ride despite a disability.
However, there are other types of disabilities or issues that can mar a Disney visit. Thankfully, Disney does have a way to help out that’s more than needed, and the Das pass is a good way to help those who find waiting in line less of an inconvenience and more of an overwhelming challenge.

Walt Disney and the Oscars go together like popcorn and movies, except his Oscar collection is something no one else has ever matched. You might think big Hollywood stars or legendary directors hold the record for the most Academy Awards, but nope, it’s the man behind Mickey Mouse who still reigns supreme. And trust me, the number of Oscars he won will blow your mind!

On Saturday, March 15, on a sunny afternoon, Disney’s “Snow White” finally had its big premiere at the Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. There was a brightly decorated pre-party with activities for kids. The stars of the movie, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, who had weathered respective controversies, showed up and even took pictures together, sometimes with director Marc Webb sandwiched in-between them. Instead of actual press, Disney had Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in 1989’s animated classic “The Little Mermaid,” asking questions on behalf of D23, the company’s in-house fan club. A chubby bunny hopped down the red carpet.
The premiere felt like a joyful release, or maybe a guttural scream, depending on who you talk to, and served as the culmination of a nearly 10-year journey to get this gauzy remake of Walt Disney’s original animated classic back to the big screen. That near-decade had been besieged by controversy,...

Legendary drive-in movie critic and movie host Joe Bob Briggs (who currently has a show on the Shudder streaming service called The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs) has a Patreon account called The Lost Drive-In, where they share the hosting segments from his days on MonsterVision, a TNT show he hosted from 1996 to 2000, and Joe Bob’s Drive-in Theater, which he hosted on The Movie Channel from 1986 to 1996… and one of the recently shared hosting segments might have unearthed a bit of interesting trivia about the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme classic Kickboxer! Specifically, it seems that the makers of Kickboxer might have, at one point, been planning to include a sister character and to put her in jeopardy.
Joe Bob wasn’t the only host presenting movies on The Movie Channel in the ’80s. One of his fellow hosts was Michele Russell, who also had some acting credits to her name.

With the Fantastic Four coming to the MCU, it may be time to add them to the parks as well! And there's only one place perfect for the Fantastic Four!
The MCU without the Fantastic Four never felt right. After all, the Fantastic Four began the entire Marvel Universe when it debuted in 1961. The issue was always Fox holding the rights with a couple of mid-2000s movies and a horrible 2015 film.
The new movie is intriguing as it’s set in the 1960s with the first trailer showcasing a wonderful retro feel. It’s inevitable that Disney will push this in merchandising and the likelihood of a theme park tie-in of some sort.
In terms of what that could be, there’s really only one place for the Fantastic Four to appear at a Disney park: Tomorrowland.
Why the Fantastic Four is perfect for Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland has been a tricky place for Disney.

We've all heard of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which Marvel is currently in the process of trying to fix before it's too late. But if you happened to grow up in the 90s you might well be familiar with arguably the true forerunner to Marvel's juggernaut of a blockbuster franchise: The Frasier-verse. Ok, Dr. Frasier Crane might not be the real genesis of the gargantuan shared timeline erected by Marvel Studios over the past decade, but he was at the center of a television universe that is much larger than you might think.
Most fans will know that Kelsey Grammer debuted as the character on "Cheers," which ran for 11 seasons from 1982 until 1993, before starring in his own sitcom which also ran for 11 seasons before wrapping up in 2004. Likewise, most will know that he reprised the role in 2023 for the neither disappointing nor remarkable "Frasier" revival series for the Paramount+ streaming service.

Oh Cameron Diaz, how we missed you — your winning comedic timing, your commitment to every role. Diaz was the Mvp of many a film despite, sadly, rarely getting credit for her acting talents before her quiet retirement from the business in 2014. It’s been over a decade since she’s performed in a movie or a TV show, but now she’s finally returned with a Netflix action comedy co-starring Jamie Foxx. And although it’s wonderful to see her back in action in Seth Gordon’s “Back in Action,” the film fails to answer the one very important question the audience will definitely have.
Why?
Why now? Why this film? What was it about this particular project that brought Cameron Diaz back in front of the camera? “Back in Action” has as generic a screenplay as it gets. It’s the same type of cut-and-paste formulaic family adventure you...

The Walt Disney Company loves few things more than its own lore, and its ability to promote that internal mythology is second to none. 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Park, the original theme park that helped Disney expand beyond its collection of animated feature films and shorts. Disneyland allowed guests to interact with beloved and iconic characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, as well as princesses like Snow White and Cinderella. The characters had essentially leapt off the screen, as had some of the most exciting and adventurous scenes in other well-known Disney titles. 70 years later, it seems like a fait accompli that Disneyland would be a rousing success; how could it not be? But Disneyland was far from a guarantee when it was under construction and when the studio had to market the theme park to a country full of people who didn't quite know what such a theme park even was.

As Wicked hit theaters, it's interesting to see Disney's surprisingly long history with the Oz books!
The world of Oz is about to see a new spark in popularity. After two decades as one of the biggest musical hits in the world, Wicked is about to hit the big screen in part one of a two-part epic. It's a revisionist take on the property showing how Elphaba aka the Wicked Witch of the West, wasn't that bad a person and her friendship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.
The movie is from Universal and seems set to become a major box office hit. Yet there was a time when it looked like Disney might get their toes into the property and the history of Disney and Oz is fascinating to see!
The early Oz foray
The early days of moviemaking were tricky, yet was always interested in adapting some beloved books.

Warning: This article contains major Spoilers about The Golden Bachelorette season 1.
The Golden Bachelorette is nearing its conclusion, but there are signs that Joan Vassos' relationship with Chock Chapple is more of a publicity stunt than a love match. It's an almost unthinkable premise, because 61-year-old Joan has been through so much, and she really deserves to find true love again. The private school administrator from Maryland is no stranger to true love, as she had found it once before. She was married to the love of her life, John Vassos, for 32 happy years until he passed away in 2021.
Joan made her television debut on The Golden Bachelor season 1, where she dated 72-year-old Gerry Turner. She had to leave the season early due to a family emergency, but she got a second chance at finding love on national television when she was cast as the Bachelor spin-off's first female lead.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has soft opened to Annual Passholders at Disneyland, but not everyone is happy with the reimagining of the classic ride. Here’s why some guests are calling it “empty” and lacking the original charm.

The Golden Bachelorette season 1's Joan Vassos has a lot of great men to choose from, but she should give her final rose to Chock Chapple. Joan is basically Bachelor Nation royalty, so fans are rooting for her to find her Prince Charming. She isn't new to looking for love on national television, as she made her television debut during The Golden Bachelor season 1. She was one of the 22 single older women who dated 72-year-old Gerry Turner. Though Gerry and Joan shared a connection and a great one-on-one date, Joan had to leave the season early to attend to a family emergency.
Joan's time on The Golden Bachelor season 1 may have been cut short, but it wasn't the end of her Bachelor Nation journey. The private school administrator from Maryland left quite an impression, and was later announced as the Bachelor spin-off's first female lead. After the meteoric success of The Golden Bachelor,...

There are big changes coming for Disney World, with several attractions closing! Here’s a quick guide!
Disney World fans are used to how attractions can regularly shut down for refurbishment. Sometimes, it’s just for a few weeks, while others can be much longer. That’s more common for older rides as well as for attractions that may be affected by larger construction. With Disney World planning some big changes, some attractions are in for huge closures and here’s a quick guide!
Big Thunder Mountain is closing for a year
If you want to get on “The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness,” you only have a few months to get there. Disney announced that Big Thunder Mountain will close for a lengthy refurbishment on January 6, 2025 and won’t reopen until 2026.
Being shut down for a year is a big move for this ride, but it does seem needed.

For Tesla‘s latest high-profile event, Elon Musk wanted the Hollywood treatment. On Thursday night, the CEO unveiled a prototype of the auto manufacturer’s “robotaxi” at the “We, Robot” event in Warner Bros. Discovery movie studio lot in Burbank, California.
The vehicle is intended to be fully autonomous, with no human driver required, like other self-driving taxis currently operating in select markets, such as Google‘s Waymo and General Motors’ Cruise fleets. In J.M. Barrie's original 1904 play "Peter and Wendy," the fairy Tinker Bell was typically represented by a powerful spotlamp, reflected onto the stage by a small hand mirror. Her dialogue was a series of small jingle bells, shaken offstage. When Barrie adapted his play into a 1911 novel, Tinker Bell remained mute, although she was able to participate in the action more closely. In the first film adaptation of Barrie's work, Herbert Brenson's 1924 film "Peter Pan," Tinker Bell was a light dangled by a string in long shots but actor Virginia Browne Faire in close-ups, either filmed against outside sets or composited into the frame.
In 1953, directors Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi, and Wilfred Jackson brought Pan to life in the celebrated animated film "Peter Pan," released by the Walt Disney Company. In that film, Tinker Bell was also mute, but could be animated as a miniature person in most of her scenes,...

Disney’s TV special for Epcot Center's opening may have looked great, but behind the scenes, it was a nightmare!
Looking back at television in the early 1980s is an interesting experience. Cable TV was in its infancy, VCRs were barely used, and the overall tone was more conservative in many ways. It was also pretty old school as networks relied on tried and true stuff like the old variety show aspects and musical specials.
Disney had used that well for years as their TV specials were always unique, mixing in original songs with some fun stars. By the 1980s, they were working with Smith-Hemion, which is well known for some award-winning variety specials featuring stars such as Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Elvis, Bette Middler, and more. They could be silly and cheesy yet fun to watch. The company was also behind the now-infamous Star Wars Holiday Special.

There was at least some hubris in Weezer’s 30th anniversary Blue Album tour announcement. Openers the Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. are more than potential show-stealers, they’re established headliners in their own right. How do you follow that? You drop a giant curtain to reveal a Weezer-branded spacecraft. It seemed instantly clear at the tour opener in Saint Paul, Minn., on Sept. 4 that Weezer have reached new heights as an arena band.

Since its inception, the tradition of Disneyland has been to build rides based on the company's most popular movies. However, some of these rides have more to offer than others, being better constructed to showcase production design and thrill guests. One of their biggest draws might be that they are located in one of Disneyland's best lands, conveniently close to other great rides plus the best shopping and dining options.
There have been a lot of new rides based on movies in recent years with Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm and the MCU, as well as the transformation of Pixar Pier. Unfortunately, the best rides based on movies are also the Disneyland rides people should go to when the park opens to avoid massive lines. Luckily, Disneyland has Wi-Fi to allow access to the app and other tools, so guests can best plan their day around waits and proximity.

The creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, will be the subject of a new documentary that hits theaters next month chronicling the duo's quest to bring a famed Mexican restaurant back from the dead. Stone and Parker debuted South Park back in 1997 after developing the animated series from their 1992 and 1995 short films, both of which were titled The Spirit of Christmas. Since then, the animated series has gone on to enter the zeitgeist of popular culture, and become a worldwide franchise comprised of not only the popular show, but movies, albums, and video games as well.
Per Variety, Casa Bonita Mi Amor! will trace Stone and Parkers journey of purchasing Casa Bonita in 2021 to bring it back to life following its closure in 2020 due to Covid, which ultimately led to its owner filing for bankruptcy. The Emmy Awards grew up on March 7, 1955. For the first time, the ceremony was broadcast nationally on NBC. Steve Allen, the star of “The Tonight Show,” was the host of the 7th annual awards honoring the best of 1954 programming which was telecast from the Moulin Rouge nightclub on Sunset Boulevard.
One of the seminal live dramas of the 1950’s, Reginald Rose’s searing “12 Angry Men,” which aired on CBS “Studio One,” earned the most Emmys that evening winning with three. The taut drama about a jury of a dozen men decided the fate of a young man accused of murder starred Robert Cummings, Franchot Tone, Edward Arnold and Walter Abel. For years, only an incomplete kinescope of the show, which was adapted into the Oscar-nominated 1957 film, existed.
Finally, a complete copy of the show was discovered in 2003. Rose told me in a 1997 L.A. Times interview that he came up...

There is never a dull moment on any episode of Pawn Stars or the spin-off Pawn Stars Do America.
In a recent video, a would-be seller brought some items from Disneyland to be evaluated and sold.
Rick and Chumlee interacted with a seller in Season 15, Episode 6 of Pawn Stars, and fans loved seeing them value some Disney cast member costumes so much they had to comment.
These cast members’ costumes are from the rides of the Tower of Terror, the Haunted Mansion, and the Pirates of the Caribbean, circa 1967-1969.
Rick shared that he loves Disneyland, calling it a “neat place…no place like it,” which fans picked up on the sentiment and shared how they felt.
The video that Pawn Stars shared on its YouTube channel is captioned, “The Gold & Silver turns into the happiest place on earth when a seller brings in some vintage Disneyland employee costumes.”

Immersion is the backbone of any Disney Parks experience. While other places don’t care if their costumed employees wear walkie-talkies or break character, Cast Members are a different, dedicated breed.
However, as Sfgate notes, trying to keep guests in a land of fantasy, adventure, or a galaxy far, far away isn’t easy. You can’t have Disney Princesses or Star Wars characters constantly checking their phones to see when it’s time for a break or shift rotation.
The solution to this issue is far easier than you think. All you need is one ancient piece of communication: a slip of paper.
Walt’s employees have used this basic form of correspondence for some time. Sure, it’s not a technique unique to Disney or theme parks specifically, but guests have probably noticed it more often there than anywhere else.

Itchy and Scratchy are responsible for some of the most memorable episodes of "The Simpsons." Every fan will fondly remember "The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show" or Marge's crusade against the ultra-violent kids' cartoon in "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge." Indeed, "The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show" landed at number five on /Film's ranking of the best episodes of "The Simpsons," with "Itchy and Scratchy Land" coming in at number 15.
Clearly, then, "Itchy and Scratchy" was more than a parody of "Tom & Jerry"-style cartoons. Though the central joke was as simple as "What if Tom & Jerry was super violent," the show-within-a-show was often used as a way to extend the cultural satire that was so integral to "The Simpsons." Plus, as legendary writer John Schwartzwelder once told The New Yorker, it allowed the writers a break from the rules of the show overall:

Epic Mickey 3 is desired by fans, but creator Warren Spector's day job makes his involvement impossible for now. Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake of the original game, fixing control issues and adding new features. It will debut this year. In the meantime, fans can enjoy Disney Illusion Island for platforming fun with modern Disney characters like Mickey and friends.
Epic Mickey director Warren Spector discusses whether a third game is possible. Epic Mickey may not be remembered as fondly as classic games like Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, but the 2010 action-platformer has established a decent cult following since its release. With its darker take Disney's iconic mascot, it stood out against other Mickey Mouse games, and while it may have received mixed reviews, the response was solid enough that a sequel, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, was released in 2012.

Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird" is about as quintessentially American as a classic book can get. The 1960 novel, which is still commonly read in schools today, follows young Alabaman girl Scout Finch as she endures the trials and tribulations of her pre-teen years -- and witnesses the grim realities of the Jim Crow-era South. Some aspects of "To Kill A Mockingbird" haven't aged perfectly, but the book remains beloved for good reason. It's funny, sharp, and emotional, full of wisdom and harsh truth, and builds a world that's vividly alive.
That world made the leap from the page to the big screen in 1962, when director Robert Mulligan and playwright Horton Foote adapted "To Kill A Mockingbird" as a film. 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of Disney. The studio's releases this year have highlighted the company's rich history, most significantly with an original idea in Pixar's Elemental, an adaptation of a Disneyland ride with Haunted Mansion, and a live-action remake of the movie that kicked off their animation Renaissance, The Little Mermaid. Yet the studio has decided to close out its celebration year appropriately with the film that kicked off the studio's legacy: an animated film from the studio Walt Disney built.
That film is Wish, a movie centered on the shooting star that has been present in many Disney animated films. Guiding this film are producers Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones. Del Vecho won an Academy Award for producing Frozen (which was co-directed by Wish's co-director Chris Buck) and has produced other Disney animated classics like The Princess and the Frog, Winnie the Pooh, and Raya and the Last Dragon.

A man leaped to his death from a parking structure at Disneyland on Wednesday, police said, marking the third such incident at the Anaheim park in less than a year.
A caller alerted police at about 9:30 p.m. that a person had jumped from the Pixar Pals structure on Magic Way. Officers found a man dead at the scene and began a suicide investigation. A spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s office said the county coroner’s office identified him as Jonah Edwards, 24. No other details were provided.
The death comes about nine months after an Arizona woman died after jumping or falling from the park’s Mickey and Friends structure. That incident came several weeks after a man in his 50s fell from the same six-level facility in December 2022. Anaheim Police have said both likely were suicides.
The Pixar Pals structure opened in 2019, and the Mickey and...
