When Hulot first enters the hotel and closes the door behind himself, his cap is on his head when he bends to pick up his suitcase; when he straightens, the cap is in his hand with the suitcase.
The second time Hulot is at the table, when he reaches across his companion, the arrangement of carafe and plates change, and the amount of wine in the carafe changes, between shots.
When Hulot tries to get a book around another person, a book appears on the lamp table from nowhere.
The second time Hulot enters the hotel, with the fishing net and rod, the way he holds them changes between shots.
The man being served a drink in the hotel wears a dark ascot; when the waiter gives him the drink, he is wearing a light-colored ascot.

Boy burns a smoking hole in the beach tent wall with a magnifier glass held in a wrong angle respective to the sun.

When Hulot is thrown into the water, the cable carrying him is visible.

Plot holes

After his arrival, Hulot leaves the reception desk and heads for his room without receiving a room key or being told his room number.

Character error

The Englishwoman declares Hulot winner of the tennis games after 3 points. A game is won by the first player to win 4 points.
In the sequence around the fireworks, when the proprietor of the hotel (Mr Menard) awakens and descends down the stairs, he reaches for the light switch. But the lights turn on before he turns on the switch.
