Edit
Ghostly couple Robert Sterling and Anne Jeffreys were also married in real life.
Leo G. Carrol played a ghost himself in 1938s Christmas Carol. Played the part of Marley.
The name of the ghost dog that appeared with the Kirbys was named Neil. He was fond of brandy, and often was seen drinking out of a giant brandy snifter.
Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim wrote ten or eleven episodes, George Oppenheimer wrote ten and they co-wrote the rest. September - November 1953. The Sondheim episodes include: "Hiring the Maid", "Phantom Burglar", "Henrietta and the Decorator", "George's Old Flame", "The Vance's Game", "Madam Kaza", "Henrietta Wins a Trip", "Theatricals", "Car Episode", "Trip to Lisbon", "Economy" and "The Socialite". Research provided by the Paley Center.
Neil, the St. Bernard, was a rescue dog in the Swiss Alps with the traditional keg of brandy around his neck. He just came across George and Marion Kirby when they were there, too, on holiday. He "died" along with them in the avalanche. Turns out he likes brandy more than he does carrying it around.
