Star Academy

A radio broadcast is trashed by the audience;the Young host (Philippe Lemaire) is asked to find new talents or else he will sign at the national employment agency.

He stops in the small town of Monte Carlone -the action takes place in Italy - where he looks for new talents under a big top:but the new talents are abysmal, each one lousier than the one before ;at the end of the competition ,a young schoolteacher talks about one of her pupils, a poor orphan who lives with his grandmother :she suggest people be generous and send him postcards ,because he is the only one in her classroom who has never received one; There's another plot concerning an invaluable stamp which is lost and the final is a chase in the streets .

The plot is rather flimsy, and it's a pretext to show music hall artists of the era:Luis Mariano,Line Renaud,Georges Guétary and more .A sketch parodying the American film noir provoked an angry response from the Office Catholique Du Cinema (too many murders!)
