Life of a princess: Rita Hayworth

Married with the famous prince Ali Khan, the beautiful superstar Rita Hayworth shows us some things of her real life in company of her husband, her emotions, her daughter Yazmine, her life as actrees and her life as princess is very curious. This extrange movie is very difficult to see, it only has been exhibited in some festivals of cinema, like Cannes. We can to see in "Champagne Safari" how love the real person who was the exciting Rita Hayworth!!!

Champagne Safari is essentially an overblown home movie shot in 1951 of Rita Hayworth and her then husband Aly Khan. Rita was off the screen for four years while she was married to Aly and she would return within a year of this film being shot.

She would also divorce Aly Khan in the interim so by the time Champagne Safari made it in its limited release to the screen it was all just a quaint piece of nostalgia. The film is narrated by Hollywood publicist Jackson Leightner and his wife Winnie.

Some interesting shots of emerging post World War II Africa and Rita, ever the movie star with her playboy husband.

In 1973 Rita Hayworth said, "As far as I know it bombed. I never made a cent out of it but at one time I did have a print of it which I thought might interest Yasmin (her daughter) when she was old enough to understand it. I suppose I still have it around....somewhere...."
