In a shot of the troops boarding their aircraft at Travis AFB the number on its tail is 8399.
When a jeep pulls up in front of supposedly the same aircraft its number (on the nose) is 2600.
As Doris Day is about to sing "S'Wonderful" on stage to the troops, a number of the men are called away for overseas duty, get up and leave; a few bars into Doris' song, there is a pan to the audience and it shows some of those same servicemen who left still sitting in their seats.
