One of Monk's greatest episodes was actually predicted by a classic, but often forgotten, comedy starring Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci back in 1996. Throughout its eight seasons on air, Monk often featured guest stars, with some celebrities even appearing multiple times throughout the show. However, one of Monk's best episodes is when Tucci appeared on the show in "Mr. Monk And The Actor." The episode even referenced an earlier work by Tucci and Shalhoub.
Although there are several harsh realities to rewatching Monk years after it has ended, its guest stars were usually some of the best things about the show. Shalhoub and Tucci's brilliant collaboration on Monk was preceded by their roles in Big Night, which showcased both actors' comedy skills. The movie also helped predict their collaboration on Monk, 10 years later. Big Night remains a classic comedy to rewatch time and time again.

Popular restaurant Denny's is preparing for Halloween 2020 in a fitting way. Across the United States, many of the restaurants are open, allowing for 25% capacity, while offering curbside pickup and drive-up ordering. This Halloween marks a special, spooky occasion - a Blue Moon - the first on Halloween night since 1944, and 19 years from the next event in 2039. And because 2020 couldn't get any weirder, Denny's, the creator of the lyrically named Moons Over My Hammy breakfast sandwich, is about to step things up for customers in the Miami, Florida area.
Blue ham? No. Blue eggs? Nah. Blue cheese? Boring. Blue bread for a Blue Moon? Now we’re talking. pic.twitter.com/5fiiadfidn

In the wake of the smash success and pop culture phenomenon of AMC's "Mad Men," other networks have been scrambling to develop their own period based dramas. ABC and NBC each tried with "Pan Am" and "The Playboy Club" respectively and failed, with both shows already canceled. But Starz has faith in their late '50s soaked "Magic City," chronicling the glitzy highlife (and lowlife) of Miami of the era. And with show already renewed for a second season, they are looking to stick around for a while.
With show now a couple of episodes in, Starz is not waiting to get the alternate revenue streams rolling as the soundtrack for the series is already on the way. And it's pretty solid. Boasting eleven tunes, it's steeped in the era with blues cuts from Bo Diddley and Johnny Otis, jazz from Lee Morgan, soul from Ray Charles and pop radio...

Jean Harlow, Chester Morris in Jack Conway's Red-Headed Woman Jean Harlow, who died of complications from kidney disease at the age of 26 in 1937, would have turned 100 years old last March 3. In celebration of Harlow's centenary, Turner Classic Movies is presenting a series of Harlow movies every Tuesday evening this month. The Jean Harlow series begins tonight, with a mix that includes Harlow's early, pre-mgm work (a bit part in Charles Chaplin's City Lights, the Columbia release Three Wise Girls), the racy pre-Coder Red-Headed Woman, and a couple of her later MGM movies (Suzy, Riffraff). I haven't watched Three Wise Girls, yet. It sounds a bit like The Greeks Had a Word for Them, a United Artists release that also came out in 1932, and its many variations, e.g., the 20th Century Fox releases Three Blind Mice, Moon Over Miami, How to Marry a Millionaire. I'd say Three Wise...
