This is another one of my favorite Warner Bros./Merrie Melodies featurettes from the '30s. When there is a drought on an Indian reservation, everyone is in desperate need of water so that they can quench their thirst, their crops can grow, the animals will provide them food, etc. But rather than having to wait for the rain to come the old-fashioned way, a weather pill pertaining to that is used to bring instant showers. The rain pill and other kinds of weather pills are what an Indian boy returns with after buying them from a salesman. It's seen that when ingested, they take effect and do their things which they are meant to do. This is what I love about this short, the plot. It's a very innovative concept to get whatever variety of weather at any time it's needed. They prove to be quite useful after all, after some skepticism from the rainmaker. Despite some Native American stereotypes (and in my opinion depending on how much there are, and how negatively they may be depicted, and to what degree), I still recommend this as I found it enjoyable and my most favorite parts involve the pills.
