Summaries

  • Two guys sharing an apartment meet twin girls (both Bonita Granville). One's sweet, the other a major piece of bad news. The nice one is murdered and her boyfriend is accused of the crime. The wrong man/wrong victim plot strikes again.
  • Romantic entanglements between four people are presented, their story told six months after the fact of a major incident within their group, two of them, immediately following that incident, making this six month date to meet, they not having seen each other since then. Each gender pair consists of two very different people. The two males are roommates Mike Carr and Johnny Dixon, and while they knew each other in the war fighting together, they are not really friends, at least from Mike's perspective, with Mike acting more as Johnny's protector in the latter suffering from emotional issues stemming from physical injuries sustained in the war. The two females are the twin Mitchell sisters, and despite looking identical, Linda is a proverbial good girl and Estelle a proverbial bad girl. Their story begins with Johnny and Estelle dating. He however breaks up with her in favor of Linda who he professes to love. While Estelle tries to get Johnny back more to spite her sister, Mike and Estelle embark on a relationship with each other despite Mike knowing deep in his heart that Estelle will only cause him trouble in the end. The incident in question is one of them being murdered, with two of the survivors believing the third the murderer. What those two do with regard to the third, who is trying to evade the police in professing innocence to those two, is at the core of their story.—Huggo
