The last The Three Stooges short in which Curly Howard was involved in the entire production. Although Curly's stroke-impaired condition seemed to be on the mend here, he was left out of the final scene of the next Stooges project, Half-Wits Holiday (1947), after he suffered a debilitating stroke.

When caught by the guards during the Stoiges escape, he tells them he has a present for them. The present being a "Mickey Finn". Named after Chicago bartender Michael "Mickey" Finn, this refers to a drink laced with drugs, without the recipient's knowledge to knockout the person who drinks it.
