Originally released as a cartoon short in the compilation feature La Boîte à musique (1946).

The audio from this short (including the narration by Sterling Holloway) is included as a bonus track on the 2015 Legacy Collection soundtrack of Fantasia (1940).

Was shown as a standard cartoon with the 1947 reissue of Fantasia (1940).

The Wolf is the same one that would later appear in Lambert le lion bêlant (1951). Both titles have narration by Sterling Holloway and both times the villainous character's vocal effects were provided by Candy Candido.
