Daffy Doodles (1946)

Trivia

Daffy Doodles

Edit
The celebrity photos whom Daffy Duck draws mustaches on are (in order): Alexis Smith, Ann Sheridan, Peter Lorre, Humphrey Bogart, and Ida Lupino.
The jury consists of identical caricatures of popular radio and musical artist Jerry Colonna. Audiences of the era would have recognized him instantly, right down to his signature mustache...the same type that Daffy was drawing in the cartoon.
This is the first Warner Bros. cartoon directed entirely by Robert McKimson. Also, this was the first Daffy Duck cartoon to be directed by McKimson after Frank Tashlin left the studio during production.
Among the ads Daffy targets are Elsie, the Borden spokescow; Nipper, the RCA dog; the Campbell's Soup Kid; and the sleepy Fisk Tire Boy, whose slogan was "time to re-tire."
Even Daffy's WB castmate, Bugs Bunny, gets a mustache.
