Its initial telecasts took place in both New York City and Baltimore Saturday 16 July 1949 on WCBS (Channel 2) and on WMAR (Channel 2), and in Chicago Saturday 30 July 1949 on WGN (Channel 9). Since this title had never been shown theatrically in the USA, these telecasts were also its USA premiere.
