Timeless laughter

In this film we see the life of a couple in love, but afraid of the existing hatred between their parents, and how end connected to the world of radio. Directed by Arthur Duarte, this Portuguese comedy features Maria Matos (as Rosa), António Silva (as Cipriano), Maria Eugenia (as Geninha) and Ribeirinho (as Fortunato) in the lead roles.

This film is a comedy Portuguese in old-fashioned style, a classic that delights the audience since decades. At the time, radio was the machine that made many stars, especially in the music business. That's what this film is about, crisscrossing this plot with the loves of the main couple, affected and almost banned because of the hatred between the parents. António Silva is a veteran comedian, Maria Matos is a great comic theater star, and the participation of these "artistic monsters", with all their talent, its enough for the film's worthwhile. But add up Ribeirinho, a comedy genius, and the mastery of Arthur Duarte as a director, and we have the perfect recipe for timeless laughter.
