Le corps céleste (1944)

Goofs

Le corps céleste

Edit

Revealing mistakes

Toward the end of the film, when Bill's colleague helps Vicky position the telescope to see her own bedroom, he accidentally bumps the telescope with his arm after carefully locating the intended view. In reality, even a small bump to the telescope would have sent her house wildly out of position.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

It is obvious at the concert that Vicky and Margaret attend that the music the violinist is "playing" does not match with his actions.

Character error

Connie Gilchrist is credited on-screen as "Beulah", but she is called "Delia Murphy".
Mrs. Sibyll, the astrologer, guesses correctly that Vicky Whitley is a Taurus, and tells her something to the effect that, like a Taurus, she is very emotional for she wears her heart on her sleeve. In fact, Taurus is known as one of the most unemotional signs, to the point that they are said to be too practical and uncaring. This would, however, have been a "reading" appropriate for the old lady who was with her, as she had mentioned being a Pisces.
At one point Professor Stowe refers to Whitley as "Whitney".
