Ken Christy plays a bailiff in this movie. On the Great Gildersleeve radio show, he had a recurring role as Summerfield's chief of police.
Second of four "Gildersleeve" films from RKO, released from 1942 to 1944 and based on the popular NBC radio network program that ran from 1941 to 1950.
Film debut of Barbara Hale.
Film debut of Richard LeGrand as Mr. Peavy.
"The Screen Guild Theater" broadcast a 30 minute radio adaptation of the movie on August 13, 1945 with Harold Peary and the radio show cast reprising their film roles.
