Lzzy Hale made her debut as the singer of Skid Row over the weekend during a pair of concerts on Friday and Saturday (May 17th and 18th) in Illinois and Iowa.

Hale is filling in on vocals after Skid Row’s previous frontman, Swedish singer Erik Grönwall, stepped away from the group due to health issues.

Skid Row and Buckcherry have announced a 2023 US co-headlining tour.

The initial spring leg, featuring support from No Resolve, kicks off March 9th in Bowler, Wisconsin, and wraps up March 31st in Hinton, Oklahoma. A second leg has also been announced, beginning August 31st in Dallas, and running through September 23rd in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Support for the second leg has yet to be announced.

Tickets for the first leg are already on sale. A Live Nation pre-sale for the second leg begins Thursday (March 2nd) at 10 a.m. local time using the code Opener via Ticketmaster, while general tickets go on sale Friday (March 3rd) at 10 a.m. local time. Of the five new covert crooners we met during the hour, two were called upon to leave in the final moments. But only one was unmasked, leaving viewers to have to come back for the premiere’s second half — airing Thursday at 8/7c on Fox — to find out exactly who was wearing that (truly terrifying) costume.

Basketball star Dwight Howard will at least have more time now to focus on bringing a championship back to Los Angeles. The Lakers player was the first celebrity to be unmasked on Season 6 of Fox’s “The Masked Season,” which returned on Wednesday — the first of a two-night premiere and double elimination.

The other eliminated contestant, Mother Nature, won’t be unmasked until Thursday’s episode.

Howard wore the Octopus costume, and sang “Tutti Frutti,” by Little Richard. He said it was his mom’s favorite show, hence the choice to join “Masked Singer.”

“I enjoyed every moment,” Howard told Variety in his exit interview. “Oh man, it was hot and sweaty. I couldn’t really move my head a lot like I wanted to.

HBO’s latest blockbuster drama effort, Lovecraft Country, is a unique Lovecraftian beast. As adapted by Matt Ruff’s novel of the same name, the show takes classic horror, sci-fi, and adventure tropes and adapts them into a timely story of American racism.

Maurice Roëves, the Sunderland-born Scottish actor whose Hollywood roles included Colonel Edmund Munro in The Last Of The Mohicans and the Sylvester Stallone-starring 1995 incarnation of Judge Dredd, has died at the age of 83.

His agent, Lovett Logan, sent a statement to the Edinburgh Evening News: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing of our wonderful client, Maurice Roëves. Maurice had a hugely successful career in both theatre and screen, which spanned several decades, starting in his home country of Scotland and moving to London and the United States.

“He was loved by his legions of fans for many of his performances. As well as being a truly dedicated and gifted actor, he was also a real gentleman and a delight to have as a client. We will miss him greatly and our thoughts and love go out to Vanessa and his family.”

“Our Culture Can’t Be Canceled” was the theme of the night at the 2020 BET Awards, which saw a powerful opening performance by Public Enemy followed by host Amanda Seales’ monologue addressing the current state of the country and several over-the-top performances. From Lil Wayne’s Kobe Bryant tribute to Beyoncé’s humanitarian award speech, this year’s BET Awards gave viewers many unforgettable moments.

The 20th anniversary of the awards show may have been virtual this year, but that did not stop the celebration which honored Black creatives and culture. A lot of us grew up on classic animated shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and X-Men. Now several of the popular voice artists involved with these series are assembling for a new animated show called The Gang's All Here.

The series is being produced by Rob Paulsen, who previously worked as a voice actor on Tmnt, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs. He teamed up with screenwriter Byron Burton to work on the series. Apparently, Burton pitched the series idea to Paulsen earlier this year at a fan convention, and Paulsen liked what he came up with! 

As far as the voiceover cast goes, Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Cal Doff (Wolverine) have jumped on board! Oh yeah! Voice over director Andrea Romano is also involved. She has worked on several of the DC animated productions over the years.

MTV held its annual Teen Wolf panel at Comic-Con this afternoon, where the network announced that the show was renewed for Season 6. The hit series was actually given a Season 5 renewal during last year's Comic-Con panel, so perhaps this is the start of an Sdcc tradition. Librarian of Congress James H. Billington has announced the twenty-five films that have been added to National Film Registry this year. Each of these titles are set to be preserved for all time as "cinematic treasures."

Amongst the highlights of this year's batch are the Coens' "The Big Lebowski," Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby," Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan," the original "House of Wax" and "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory," the John Wayne classic "Rio Bravo," and iconic 1980s comedy "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

Every year, twenty-five films that are deemed "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant have been added to the list. One condition - the films must be at least ten years old. This year's full list includes:
