A modern source lists Jack Normand as "Goon," interpreted as a typo by a submitter, who listed Norman Willis instead (Willis' aka is Jack Norman); however, Willis was not seen in the film.
Noah Beery, who plays Muggs' rich Uncle Pete, was in real life the father of Deux cent dollars plus les frais (1974) actor Noah Beery Jr.. The year before Clancy Street Boys, Noah Beery, Jr appeared in The East Side Kids' 'Neath Brooklyn Bridge (1942) as a former member of the kids who was returning from serving in the war.
The failure of the original copyright holder to renew the film's copyright resulted in it falling into public domain, meaning that virtually anyone could duplicate and sell a VHS/DVD copy of the film; therefore, many of the versions of this film available on the market are either severely (and usually badly) edited and/or of extremely poor quality, having been duped from second- or third-generation (or more) copies of the film.
