The opening building shot (model) is the frequently-used one that goes as far back as Female (1933) with Ruth Chatterton, though it likely predates even that film.
The shot of the car crashing into a tree and bursting into flames was used in Je suis un criminel (1938).
The top cast are introduced at the beginning of the film by their roles, newspaper man and torch singer, in the movie rather than their own names or the character names.
