The Rookie Bear (1941)

Trivia

The Rookie Bear

Edit
Released just over a month before the attack on Pearl Harbor would mark the U. S. entry into WW2. The rigors of induction and boot camp, shown so humorously here, would become reality for inductees.
The call signs of the radio stations in the beginning (AWOL and RPM), while invalid, are abbreviations of 'Absent WithOut Leave' (or "Absent Without Official Leave') and 'Revolutions Per Minute', respectively.
Some of the questions on the Questionnaire:
  • 1. Born? Yes No
  • 2. Age at birth?
  • 3. How many years in 1st grade?
  • 4. Why?
  • 5. Who cares?
  • Education?
  • Illiterate Grammer High School College?
  • 6. Any quiz programs?
  • 7. Can you spell Cat? How?
  • 8. Who's who? Who cares?
  • 9. Take a number from one to ten.
  • 10. Throw away the first number you thought of.
  • 11. If the answer is zero - how come?
