Trivia

Mais la chair est faible

Edit
Based on the play "The Truth Game" by Ivor Novello which opened on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, 243 W. 47th St., on December 27, 1930 and ran for 107 performances until March 1931.
This film was first telecast in New Haven CT Sunday 13 January 1957 on WNHC (Channel 8), followed by Minneapolis MN 26 January 1957 on KMGM (Channel 9) , by Altoona PA 11 February 1957 on WFBG (Channel 10), by Hartford CT 1 April 1957 on WHCT (Channel 18), by Los Angeles CA 30 April 1957 on KTTV (Channel 11), by Philadelphia PA 22 October 1957 on WFIL (Channel 6), by Tampa FL 5 November 1957 on WFLA (Channel 8) , by Columbus OH on WLW-C (Channel 4) and by Baltimore MD 23 November 1957 on WJZ (Channel 13). Obviously, a provocative title and the pre-code aspects of the story, which often met with sponsor resistance in the major markets, flipped the coin and made this one a frequently aired favorite.
Mais la chair est faible (1932) was remade as Free and Easy (1941).
